A brief history of the Chicago & North Western Iowa Division mainline, now part of the Overland Route:

06/26/21

This simple I-Beam bridge crosses the Linn Street Subway.
Built in 1910 to cross the street, it sits at the west end of the railroad yard in Boone. The bridge sits on concrete substructures.
This bridge replaced an older grade crossing. The design is a cross between a deck girder and an I-Beam, similar to structures in Wisconsin.
Overall, the bridge remains in fair condition.

The author has ranked this bridge as being locally significant, due to the common design.
The photo above is an overview. It can be accessed from the road it crosses.
